The Madhya Pradesh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, has announced an extension of its Revenue Mega Campaign 3.0 until January 26, 2025. Initially scheduled to conclude on 15 December 2024 the campaign now offers farmers and citizens an extended opportunity to resolve land-related issues, update documents and access government welfare schemes. The campaign was first launched on 15 November 2024 with a focus on addressing grievances related to agriculture and revenue matters.
Key Highlights of the Campaign
Farmers’ Documents to Be Updated and Corrected
The campaign aims to streamline farmers’ access to critical services. This includes:
- Rectifying errors in land records like khasra and khatauni (land maps and ownership details).
- Simplifying the transfer of land ownership.
- Linking farmers with various state and central government schemes.
Special camps will be organized across rural and urban areas to ensure that farmers can easily get their records corrected and updated.
Ayushman Cards for Senior Citizens
The government has directed officials to prioritize creating Ayushman Bharat health cards for citizens aged 70 and above. These cards ensure free healthcare services under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized that the campaign’s outreach should be publicized in a way that encourages voluntary participation from the citizens.
Integration with PM-Kisan Scheme
The Revenue Mega Campaign is also aligned with the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana:
- Farmers who were previously excluded will be added to the beneficiary list.
- Existing entries will be verified, and ineligible beneficiaries will be removed.
- Pending accounts under PM-Kisan will undergo e-KYC verification to streamline payments.
Simplifying Revenue Department Services
Efforts are underway to make revenue department services more accessible. Actions include:
- Rapid resolution of pending cases related to land disputes and revenue services.
- Correction of land maps and village layouts: Tehsildars and patwaris will use the Bhu-Abhilekh portal to update maps based on the latest surveys.
- Farmers can link their land records to Aadhaar for greater transparency, with verification handled by patwaris.
Broader Welfare Objectives
Alongside resolving revenue-related issues, the government has introduced the CM Welfare Campaign, running parallelly from December 15, 2024, to January 25, 2025. This initiative focuses on the holistic development of youth, women, farmers, and marginalized communities. Activities include:
- Camps to educate and enroll citizens in welfare programs.
- Identifying eligible beneficiaries and providing them with access to government schemes.
Technological Integration and Citizen Outreach
The campaign is leveraging digital tools for greater efficiency:
- Applicants can access updates and submit corrections via the Bhu-Abhilekh portal.
- Farmers can link their Aadhaar numbers to their land records online, reducing manual errors.
- Awareness drives and local camps aim to increase participation and ensure that eligible individuals avail of the benefits.
Major Outcomes Expected
The extended campaign period is expected to achieve:
- Enhanced accuracy in land records and documentation.
- Increased enrollment of farmers in welfare schemes, especially PM-Kisan.
- Better healthcare access for senior citizens through Ayushman cards.
- Streamlined governance and reduced disputes in revenue services.
The Revenue Mega Campaign 3.0 is a significant step by the Madhya Pradesh government to address long-standing issues in land and revenue administration while ensuring inclusive welfare for all sections of society.
