Government Employees Await DA Hike Decision with Excitement: 18% Increase Expected by 2025

Pensioners will also get benefit

The good news for the state employees is that a big update has come from the government on Dearness Allowance (DA). The Finance Department is likely to keep the annual salary increase at the rate of three percent and a provision of four percent increase in the wages of contract employees can be made. The state government plans to give up to 64 percent dearness allowance to the employees in the next budget (year 2025-26). Apart from the employees, there is a plan to give dearness relief (DR) to the pensioners as well. Accordingly, DA will increase by 18 percent by next year.

Currently, this much percentage of DA is being given

Currently, if we talk about it, dearness allowance is being given to the employees and officers in Madhya Pradesh at the rate of 46 percent. On the other hand, central employees and pensioners are getting the benefit of 50 percent DA by the central government. In such a situation, the employees of Madhya Pradesh are also expecting and demanding DA (DA Latest Update) on the lines of central employees. Preparations are being made by the Madhya Pradesh Finance Department to give up to 64 percent dearness allowance to the employees and dearness relief (DA) to the pensioners in the next budget i.e. year 2025-26. Finance Department sought proposals from departments

The Finance Department of Madhya Pradesh (MP Employees news) has said that there will be a provision for an annual salary increase of three percent and a four percent increase in the remuneration of contract employees. All the departments of the state government have been told that it is necessary to submit proposals for the salary-allowance item by assessing the number of employees and the recruitment to be done in the coming time.

Currently getting 46 percent DA -

Let us tell you that at present, dearness allowance is being given to the officers of All India Service at the rate of 50 percent only. State employees are currently getting DA (DA and DR HIke) at the rate of only 46%. In the budget for salary and allowances in all departments by the government in the year 2024-25, 56 percent has been kept for dearness allowance (DR) of employees and dearness relief for pensioners.

The employees of the state also say that DA has reached 50 percent in the Center and many states. It should also be provided to them equally as soon as possible. In such a situation, the employees hope that it can reach 53 percent (DA) before Diwali. In view of the demand of the employees, Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav can announce the increase of DA before Diwali.

The government is facing opposition due to not increasing DA

Due to not increasing the DA of the employees (DA Hike Update news), the government is also facing the resentment and opposition of the employees. The employees of the state even say that if the amount of DA is being increased to many other states and central employees, then why not to them. Pensioners are also hoping that they will get an increase in Dearness Relief Allowance (DRA) soon.

The Third Class Employees Union (MP DA hike news) says that compared to the Center, 12 lakh employees and pensioners of the state are 4 percent behind in terms of DA and DR. Due to this, the employees are losing thousands of rupees every month. The Third Class Employees Union of Madhya Pradesh has demanded from the CM of the state Mohan Yadav to increase DA and DR from January 2024 and give its benefits to all the employees and pensioners of the state.
